Arsenal and Liverpool monitoring Muller

Arsenal and Liverpool have joined Man United in an attempt to prise Thomas Muller away from Bayern Munich, reports in Germany suggest. It was previously reported on sillyseason that Muller didn’t want to leave Bayern this summer, but he didn’t rule out that he would NEVER leave the Allianz Arena.

The three Prem clubs are ready to make moves for him this summer to try and pull him away from the Bundesliga sooner rather than later. Reports are surfacing from Germany too, that he would actually be happy to leave this summer, especially to Man United if Louis Van Gaal takes over.

These reports also state that Muller is growing unhappy under Pep Guardiola and that his discontent has now put Arsenal and Liverpool on alert to his situation. Bayern legend Franz Beckenbauer warned the club that they must try and keep hold of the forward but also admitted that if he handed in a transfer request, then it may be out of their hands. He said:

“Normally I would say we should not stop people who want to move on but for Thomas Muller, FC Bayern should fight to win him over, if he really has plans to leave. He is the original Bavarian player and the fans identify with him. I don’t see any reason why he should be unhappy in Munich.

“We should look for another solution, and consider letting him go, only if he categorically states that he does not want to stay.”
