Arsene Wenger is directly in the hunt to improve his attacking line and is targeting Shakhtar’s Bernard after the Ukrainian side made him available for a transfer.

Arsenal have so far brought in Alexis Sanchez for a whopping £35 million but has since failed with certain transfers for attackers and now has turned his attention to the Brazilian who impressed at the World Cup.

Bernard, 21, has come out and told the club he wants out of the country following the violence and unrest that has occurred this year in Ukraine and Arsenal are looking to take advantage of the situation.

Shakhtar are looking for big money for the forward who played a key part in Brazil’s route to the semi final of the World Cup but with Arsenal not prepared to pay a large amount a loan move is on the cards which suits both sides.

Luke’s Podolski seems to be on his way out of the Emirates after falling further down the pecking order whilst Arsenal are still in the market for a world class striker and have been linked with Cavani, Vargas & Balotelli.
