With the defender stalling on a new deal, Man City are ready to pounce
Man City are keeping a close eye on Hector Bellerin, as they consider making a move for the defender next summer.
The right-back has become a key player for Arsenal and after the superb season he had for the Gunners last year, they are hoping to tie him down to a new long-term deal at the club.
However, there was a lot of interest in him over the summer and with talks over a new contract going extremely slow at the moment – as of yet, there is no concrete deal on the table for him, despite the club’s promises – City are ready to swoop in and make a bid.
Barcelona are also interested
The Gunners would be extremely reluctant to let him leave, as he has become their number one right-back and a key player for the side. They would be even more reluctant to sell him to a Premier League rival.
But it won’t stop Man City from at least testing the waters with a bid next year if a new contract has still to be agreed. They will face competition from Barcelona though, who have also been keeping tabs on Bellerin over the last few months and are keen to take him to Spain.
