Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has been given the all-clear in his pursuit for Corinthians striker Alexandre Pato’o.
The Gunners boss is desperate to land a new striker so that it can take some pressure of current main-man Olivier Giroud, who is currently the only recognised striker at the club.
Wenger, who was busy trying to capture a frontman in the Summer, was trying to sign the Brazilian when he was at AC Milan last January, but the striker decided to go back to his homeland instead so that he could push for a World Cup place in 2014.
However, the Brazilian club have hinted that Pato’o could be made available if a club was to offer around £10million.
Arsenal’s rivals Tottenham Hotspur are also interested in his services.
