Arsenal are set to miss out on Paris Saint-Germain midfielder as AS Roma agree personal terms with starlet, according to reports in France.
The Gunners have shown interest in Rabiot since the close of last season, and with reports suggesting that PSG were set to lower their demands for the Frenchman, it was believed that Arsenal would complete their fifth Summer signing.
However, according to reports this morning, Roma entered the race to sign Rabiot and moved quickly in offering him a contract and it’s being reported in France that a deal is already in place.
The Italian side also signed Kostas Manolas from under Arsenal’s noses last week, and they look set to secure the signing of Rabiot as well.
When questioned about the 19-year-old this morning, Arsene Wenger refused to comment on the potential deal and admitted that he will be keeping quiet until deals are done.
