Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger has agreed in principle a three-year deal at the club, which will see him stay at the Emirates Stadium until 2017.
The Frenchman’s future has been dominating headlines throughout the season, with a lot of speculation linking him with leaving the club this Summer once his contract expired.
However, after guiding them to their 11th FA Cup victory, and ending their nine-year trophy drought, Wenger is set to be rewarded with a new three-year deal, and it’s expected to be announced over the weekend.
The 64-year-old has been at the club since 1996, and has guided them to seven major trophies and has finished in the top-four of the Premier League 17 season in a row.
Wenger’s future has been in doubt for the last two seasons, with a portion of the fans unhappy with him remaining at the club after failures in the league, but after lifting the FA Cup trophy and promising to spend money this Summer, a new chapter could be about to begin for Wenger at Arsenal Football Club.
