Ashley Cole to the MLS

Ashley Cole wants to leave Chelsea and go to New York Red Bulls. Cole has had an off season this year and could cost him his World Cup place with England. The defender is interested in signing with the MLS side and the feeling is mutual. The blues Left Back is looking at a very uncertain future at the Stamford Bridge side. The red bulls have a position open for a marquee player and know that the English international always wanted to finish his career in the MLS.

They would like to sign him before the next season start in March. The New York side aren’t the only ones who are intersted, LA Galaxy are also looking on signing the 32 year old. His contract runs out at the end of the season and is looking to leave Mourinho’s side. He has been dropped from the main line up and has been replaced by Cesar Azpilicueta. England manager is doubting Cole aswell as he left him out of the World Cup Squad completely in the friendly against Germany.

Hodgson will be naming Leighton Baines as their main left back at the World Cup and hopes that the Chelsea defender will travel as a reserve. The London side are looking for a new Left Back in the January transfer window and if they find someone then they will sell Ashley Cole. The England international is free to look elsewhere. Azpilicueta is actually a right back but has been playing on the left and Ryan Bertrand is also a contender for left back.
