West Ham pull out of deal for Championship star
Aston Villa are favourites to sign Brentford striker Scott Hogan after West Ham pulled out the deal to sign him.
Villa are reportedly in talks to sign the striker on Deadline Day, who seemed set to move to the Premier League this month.
However, at the last minute, Slaven Bilic pulled out of the deal after concluding that he doesn’t need Hogan.
The decision not to proceed has been taken by Bilic, despite the West Ham board being happy to sign Hogan – who is valued at £15m – if the manager wanted him.
With Villa now top of the list of clubs potentially in for Hogan, it’s thought that West Brom and Crystal Palace are still interested.
