Serie A club however rejected opportunity to re-sign striker

Liverpool striker Mario Balotelli has reportedly offered himself to his former-club Inter Milan, but they chose to reject the chance to sign him.

The controversial figure as flopped at Anfield since his ÂŁ16million move from AC Milan last year, and he’s already seeking a swift exit from the club.

Balotelli scored just twice for Liverpool last year and has already been told to leave the club by Brendan Rodgers, with Christian Benteke set to replace him in the next few days.

Liverpool’s Options

The Reds have also brought in Danny Ings from Burnley and will have Daniel Sturridge coming back from injury and Divock Origi returning from his season-long loan.

This leaves Balotelli down the pecking order and away from the first-team.

Inter Milan Plans

However, according to reports, the Italian has offered himself to Inter in the hope that they will resign him this summer to end his Merseyside misery.

Much to the shock of Balotelli however, Roberto Mancini snubbed the chance to reunited with the controversial star despite him admitting he needs a striker.

Mancini is looking at Stevan Jovetic from Manchester City as a potential target and does not want Balotelli back at the San Siro.

Balotelli’s agent is also pushing for a move away from Anfield after the failed spell there.
