The Argentine and Barca skipper has been in magnificent form this season and has notched up a brilliant hat-trick in the match against Sevilla in La Liga. He has scored 33 goals in 32 games in the La Liga this season and has helped his side to be at the top of the league table as the Blaugrana look determined to hold on to the La Liga title.
Speaking to the media, the former Mali international said, “Well, Barcelona are a great team but, obviously they have a player who always makes the difference. With or without Messi, Barca are two different teams. If someone does not see this, he does not understand football properly because he is a special player. Having a player like that changes the way you play.”
Messi and Barcelona are set to take on their arch-rivals Real Madrid in their next match in the second leg of the Copa Del Rey semi-final this midweek.
