Barcelona leading race for Pjanic

Barcelona are preparing a bid for Roma’s Miralem Pjanic. The player is also a target for Man United and Liverpool.

Barca of course can’t complete any transfers until 2016 as they are currently under a transfer embargo until 2016. However, they are allowed to arrange signings from other teams in advance and Luis Enrique plans on doing just that this summer.

Pjanic is reportedly keen to leave Italy and United, Liverpool and the Catalan giants have all been monitoring the situation. The Reds want him to replace Steven Gerrard in midfield, while Louis Van Gaal has had his eye on the playmaker for some time.

The 25-year old is certainly not short of options but at the moment it is Barcelona who lead the way for his signature, as they are in pole position to agree a deal to sign him in January 2016.
