According to the Daily Record, Bayern Munich have shown interest in Manchester City winger Leroy Sane and have begun talks with the club over a summer transfer. Sane joined City from Schalke in 2016 on a transfer fee of £46.5 million.
The 23-year old has established himself as one of the club’s best players since, making 132 appearances and amassing 39 goals and 45 assists. This season, the German winger has scored 16 goals and has provided 18 assists across all competitions. Pep Guardiola has often left Leroy Sane on the bench this season which is something that might be a reason why Sane hasn’t signed an extension to his current contract which expires in 2021.
Manchester City have reportedly allowed Bayern to talk with Sane’s representatives regarding contract terms. Despite being frequently on the bench, Sane has managed to produce impressive performances for Manchester City and the club will certainly earn a great deal from his transfer.
