According to reports from the rumour mill, German giants Bayern Munich are closing in on a deal to sign Inter Milan wideman Ivan Perisic. The Serbian is set to leave the Nerazzurri this summer and Munich could possibly be his next destination.
Bayern were initially interested in Manchester City winger Leroy Sane. Niko Kovac was rumoured to be interested in shelling out over £100m to sign the German star. However, a knee ligament injury has forced Sane to sit out for at the most seven months going into the season.
Hence, Bayern have now shifted their focus to signing Perisic. As per the reports, the Bavarians have agreed on a loan deal with an option to buy with Inter.
Bayern have until September 2 to sign Perisic while Inter Milan will have until 18 August to sign a replacement if they manage to sell Perisic.
Bayern will face Energie Cottbus in the DFB Cup first round while Inter are set to take on Lecce in the Serie A.
