- Bayer Leverkusen says there is no chance the in-demand Germany international Lars Bender will be sold this summer.
- The 24-year-old midfielder has reportedly been the subject of a failed bid around £20 million from Arsenal.
- Leverkusen will not even consider selling their talented midfielder even for a greatly improved offer as he is “not for sale at any price”.
- A spokesperson said: “It’s absolutely normal that there has been interest in him because he is a top-level player who is improving, but he has a contract until 2017 and he is absolutely happy to stay at Leverkusen.”
- The former 1860 Munich midfielder joined Leverkusen in 2009 and has really taken place with 100 appearances for the club.
