Bundesliga giants are expected to overhaul their squad this summer

Borussia Dortmund are expected to overhaul their squad this summer after a poor campaign in both Bundesliga and Champions League. They are currently at third position in the League and are 29 points behind the champions Bayern Munich.

But the Bundesliga giants could lose some players also especially the midfielders. Julian Weigl, Gonzalo Castro and Nuri Sahin have all been linked with moves away from Dortmund this summer.

The club wants to sign Chelsea’s midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko in the summer transfer window and have already enquired about him about the possibility of signing him.

Bakayoko joined Chelsea from Monaco for a fee of £40 million last summer, after an impressing campaign with the Ligue 1 giants. But the France International has endured a difficult first season at Stamford Bridge and has struggled to establish himself as a regular for the team under Antonio Conte.

He has only played 212 Premier League minutes since February and has been heavily linked with a summer exit since the Blue’s are looking to sign new midfielders.

Despite Bakayoko’s poor form, Dortmund wants to sign him and he is the man they have targeted to help fill the void if the players leave them in the summer.

Borussia Dortmund have reportedly been priced out of a move for Bakayoko according to Sport 1. Chelsea have told BVB that the player would not be sold for any less than £53 million, a fee which the German club are unlikely to pay for one player.
