La Liga giants want to sign a new goalkeeper

Despite reaching the Champions League final this season, Real Madrid are expected to reinforce their side this summer after falling behind Barcelona in domestic terms. The club is expected to sell few players in order to raise funds.

La Liga giants have prioritized signing a Goalkeeper and a Forward. Karim Benzema is likely to leave this summer after a disappointing campaign and the club have already been linked to Superstars like Harry Kane, Robert Lewandowski and Mauro Icardi.

Chelsea goalkeeper Thibaut Courtois and Roma goalkeeper Alisson are Real Madrid’s top two targets, according to Mundo Deportivo.

Kiko Casilla is expected to leave this summer after failing to establish himself as a regular for the team and Keylor Navas will turn 32 next season. Real wants reinforcements in goal and wants to sign someone on a long term basis.

The club was interested in Manchester United Goalkeeper David De Gea for a long time but the Premier League are unwilling to sell him. So they have turned their attention towards Courtois and Alisson.

Alisson has been very impressive for the Serie A giants this season and has established himself as one of the top goalkeepers in the world. Zinedine Zidane’s side may have to pay huge transfer fee in order to lure the Brazilian to Spain.

Courtois is already considered one of the best goalkeepers in the world and the club have been interested in him for a long time. The Blue’s are likely to miss Champions League next season and with his contract expiring next year, the Belgian International might be tempted to leave Chelsea.
