Brahim Diaz’s transfer speculations are getting stronger as the player moves closer to leave for Real Madrid.
The Manchester City youngster has been linked strongly with the Galacticos for quite some time now.
Manchester City midfielder Brahim Diaz is edging closer to a move to Real Madrid as his agent, Pere Guardiola, who is also Pep Guardiola’s brother, arrived in Manchester a few days ago. It is being speculated that he was there to conclude the transfer and get the player out of the club.
Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola has been focussing on the fact that the club is looking to keep the player at their disposal and is even ready to offer him a new contract. However, the reports are indicating towards the fact that a deal worth €15m is being finalised to get Diaz to Santiago Bernabeu.
As per reports, Guardiola said that the player can leave if he wants in the last month. He said, “My advice is if he doesn’t want to stay, he has to leave. I think the academy has to be so proud that he’s been working here many years. The case of Brahim is very simple: we want him to stay, we want to extend his contract for four or five years and we’ll do absolutely everything to keep him here. But, as I said before, it’s in his hands.”
Another young player, Phil Foden, who has earned a place for himself in the squad under Guardiola, extended his stay at the Emirates Stadium having signed a new six-year contract with the Citizens. The manager praised his decision and said, “With Phil we convinced him because we believe he has something unique, he’s a special player, like Jadon and Brahim. Now keep going.”
