Liverpool manager Brendan Rodgers has revealed how he feels he can attract top-name players to Anfield, and he believes it’s down to the club playing free-flowing, attacking football.

The Reds finished second in the Premier League last season, and have returned to the Champions League for the first time in a few years, and Rodgers is keen to add to his already impressive squad, but is still searching for that one stand-out signing.

Since losing Luis Suarez, Rodgers has signed; Adam Lallana, Rickie Lambert, Dejan Lovren, Emre Can, Lazar Markovic and Alberto Moreno is close to joining too, these players are also joined by Javier Manquillo on a season-long loan.

Rodgers has also landed Divock Origi from Lille, but the striker will spend the season back on loan in France, and The Reds boss has revealed how he managed to sign so many players this Summer, and what attracted them to Liverpool.

Rodgers said: “If you’re a football player in Europe watching how we played last season and saw our supporters, your reaction would be that you’d want to play in that environment.

“That ability to attract top players is great. It’s a huge indication of the progress of the club – a really good symbol of where the club is at. We have made huge strides in the last couple of years.

“It’s the most competitive league in the world and this is one of the biggest clubs in the world.

“It’s a team that plays exciting football. I’m happy with the players we have got in, and we’ll be set up for an exciting season.”
