Manchester United have identified possible replacements for Spaniard
United manager, Louis Van Gaal has admitted the club have begun thinking about life after De Gea.
Chelsea stopper Petr Cech could reportedly make a shock move to Old Trafford next season – the player’s agent recently admitted Cech wanted to leave Stamford Bridge in the summer.
Viktor Kola, Cech’s agent revealed earlier the 32-year-old has been deemed surplus to requirements and he is free to leave.
De Gea replacement
According to the Metro, Van Gaal has seen Kola’s comments and is potentially thinking of moving for the Czech international this summer.
Real Madrid have supposedly cited the 24-year-old as a long-term successor to Iker Casillas, who has been the subject of mounting criticism from the Real supporters.
Van Gaal is far from certain whether the former Atletico Madrid player will be at Old Trafford next season and thinks Cech would be a suitable replacement.
“When we have a very good scouting commission, then we shall already know who shall be the next goalkeeper” said Van Gaal.
Manchester United entertain Arsenal tomorrow afternoon with the chance to leapfrog the gunners into 3rd place should they win against the North London club.
