Chelsea manager, Jose Mourinho, is keen on a reunion with Real Madrid defender, Alvaro Arbeloa, but faces serious competition from Arsenal and Liverpool.
The Spaniard built up a close relationship with Mourinho during their time together at the Bernabeu, and with Arbeloa’s game-time currently limited under Carlo Ancelotti, it’s reported that he is ready to leave Spain and return to England.
Arbeloa, who used to play for Liverpool, is keen on a change of scenary and according to reports, he will have three clubs to choose from.
Mourinho is keen on a reunion with the 31-year-old, whilst former-club, Liverpool, are also interested in signing him and bringing him back to Anfield.
Arsenal are the third team showing interest as Arsene Wenger confirmed his intentions to sign a defender this month, and with Arbeloa’s versatility, the Spaniard could be the perfect choice for Wenger.
