Reports suggest that Chelsea are making a £30 million bid for Arsenal midfielder Aaron Ramsey. The midfielder is currently entering the final 12 months of his contract. This means that he can have talks with other clubs in January for a free transfer and that is something which Arsenal can’t afford to do.
A few months back, there were reports that The Gunners were prepared to sell the Welshman. However, now, coach Unai Emery said that he was hoping that Ramsey could sign a new contract with the club. However, Chelsea have shown their interest to sign the 27-year old.
Aaron Ramsey joined Arsenal in 2008 from Cardiff City at a fee of £4.9 million and has been a regular for the club in the past 7 years.
Ramsey had a pretty decent season for Arsenal in 2017-18 as he scored 11 goals in 30 appearances across all competitions. He was eventually named Arsenal’s Player of the Season.
Chelsea are eager to add some more flair to their midfield and Aaron Ramsey is a perfect fit for them.
