Blues want Juventus boss to take over for next season

Chelsea have made Juventus manager Massimiliano Allegri their top managerial target for next season, according to reports.

The Blues are set to ramp up their quest for a new manager over the next few months, with the plans in place for him to take over from Guus Hiddink at the end of the season.

Chelsea are searching for their long-term successor of Jose Mourinho following his dismissal earlier this season, and after several names being linked, it looks like Roman Abramovich is settling with Allegri.

The likes of Diego Simeone, Pep Guardiola and Jorge Sampaoli have all been linked with the Stamford Bridge role, but the latest reports suggest the Italian is considered the top target.

Allegri Top Target

The reports are claiming that Allegri has already spoken to Abramovich and has already told the Chelsea owner that he’s interested in managing in the Premier League.

Allegri has won two Serie A titles during his time in Italy, and he also guided Juve to the Champions League final last season.

According to reports, Abramovich has cooled his interest in Simeone because he believes he’s very similar to Mourinho in terms of tactics and approach.
