Real Madrid defender and long-term Chelsea interest Raphael Varane, has asked the Spanish club for formal talks so that he can discuss his own future.
The young starlet, who impressed for France during the Brazilian World Cup, has been tipped to become one of the best centre-backs in the game, and he has won many admirers for his performances so far in his early career.
One man that is certainly impressed is Jose Mourinho, who claimed Varane was the best young centre-back in world football.
Despite the high reputation, the 21-year-old is keen to sit down with officials at the Bernabeu, and it’s believed that he will demand first-team football under Carlo Ancelotti or else he will seek a move away in order to get his demands.
According to reports in Spain, Varane is ready to push a move away from Madrid if he is not promised first-choice status.
