Chelsea and Jose Mourinho are ready to hijack Arsenal’s plans to sign Germany midfielder Sami Khedira.
The Gunners have made enquiries about the services of the midfielder star, and have been asked to pay at least £20m by Real Madrid if the club want to take the player away from Spain.
Eventhough Arsenal are willing to offer the money wanted by Real Madrid, Khedira’s wage demands are proving to be to stumbling block to allow to deal to take place.
The German is demanding £150,000-a-week, something at Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is unsure about agreeing to.
However, Jose Mourinho is ready to step in and lure the midfielder to Stamford Bridge and add him to his stellar midfielder ready for next season.
Khedira has rejected a new contract at Real Madrid and is very likely to depart, with Chelsea now emerging as front-runners for his signature.
