Borrussia Dortmund striker Ciro Immobile has admitted he won’t be moving to Liverpool in the summer transfer window.

The Italian international has rubbished reports that he will swap the Bundesliga for the Premier League and join Brendan Rodgers’ Reds.

Immobile moved to Germany last summer, but hasn’t been at his prolific best. He has only scored seven goals so far this season, resulting in speculation he may leave.

However, he played down rumours of a move to England in a recent interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport’s SportWeek.

He said: “I would do this again. I feel I’m at the right level to play with Borussia Dortmund.”

He also added: “People only remember what they want to remember. Even [Robert] Lewandowski only scored seven goals in his first year, then he started winning and scoring and he left a good memory of himself.”

The 25-year old was Serie A’s top scorer last campaign when he played for Torino.
