Manchester United could be set to announce their latest capture this week with the signature of Ajax’s Daley Blind.
The 24 year old has caught the eye of the top European clubs but it is Van Gaal’s United who are about to land the player with discussions going along nicely.
The player has not hidden his desire to join his departing national manager at Old Trafford, ‘Of course it’s flattering when your linked to clubs such as Manchester United and Barcelona, it would be very hard to turn down these clubs’.
Blind would represent a magnificent capture for Manchester United who certainly have a need for some quality defenders after losing Vidic,Evra & Ferdinand in the summer.
Manchester United start their campaign at home to Swansea on Saturday and are optimistic a deal can be struck before the first game.
