Manchester United are to offer Daniel Alves £100,000 a week in order to sign for them this summer, according to Daily Express.
Alves, aged 31, is out of contract at Barcelona in the summer, with the Brazilian yet to renew his deal at the Nou Camp.
This has seen the defender linked with a whole host of sides, witjh United stealing the march as they look to tie up the deal to take the full-back to Manchester.
And it seems Louis Van Gaal is keen to add to his defensive options, and is to offer Alves £100,000 a week in wages, in order to convince him to the Red Devils.
United have lacked in proven defensive options this term, and view Alves as a useful experienced signing, to bulk up their options.
United also hope that goalkeeper Victor Valdes, who recently signed on a free-transfer, could play a part in a move for the former Sevilla man.
