Chelsea planning overhaul in January

Chelsea are planning to make drastic changes in January, with Diego Costa likely to be sold in order to fund two signings.

The Blues have had a torrid start to the new Premier League campaign, winning just three games of their opening 12, and Jose Mourinho is ready to make drastic changes around the club.

Mourinho is fighting for his job as Roman Abramovich looks on, but he’s pleaded with the owner to give him the January transfer window to turn things around.

All Change Up Front

Reports have emerged today that Mourinho could be ready to terminate Radamel Falcao‘s loan and also sell Costa in order to fund two new signings.

Mourinho wants to bring in two new strikers, with Antoine Griezmann and Gonzalo Higuain being linked with moves to Stamford Bridge.

According to reports, Mourinho and the Chelsea board were considering selling Costa over the summer, but after much deliberation, Mourinho chose to keep hold of the controversial star.

However, the Spaniard has failed to impress so far this season, and Mourinho is now ready to make the change and that starts by offloading the striker.

If Chelsea do sell Costa, it’s believed two new strikers will come in to try and rescue the failing season.
