The world of football is one with fantasies and stories of great heroics and tearful reunions.

One such story which would make millions of football and specially Chelsea fans happy would be to see former teammates Frank Lampard and Ashley Cole work together again as coach and player with Super Frank calling the shots.

It is the romantic in everyone’s heart to see Cole to do well for Derby County under the management of Frank Lampard and gain promotion to the English Premier League. However, if you could count one man to be pragmatic and hard working beyond any emotion it would be Lampard and that is exactly what he is doing with Cole.

He said, “Cole hasn’t been training for a few weeks and to throw him in would be naive on everyone’s part.  I did it myself when I went to America – I tried to get fit in a week and got injured so we don’t want anything like that if we can help it. So we will try and be smart and he won’t be far away but we need to work him slightly separately at the moment. I’ve just ruled out this weekend. We will see day by day how he progresses.”

Respect the game above all, Franks knows.
