Striker tells Napoli he will ‘definitely’ leave at the end of the season
Gonzalo Higuain has told his current club Napoli that he will definitely leave at the end of the season, sparking fresh rumours of a move to Arsenal.
The Argentine reportedly wants out of the club after the Italian side failed to qualify for the Champions League last season. Because of this, he has confirmed to his bosses at Napoli that he will leave during the coming transfer window.
Arsenal are the favorites to sign the striker, but will have to battle off interest from Manchester United and Juventus for the signature.
Filling a gap
The Gunners are desperate to land him with their squad crying out for a new striker to hopefully fire them higher up the league table next season. They managed a top 4 finish last season once again, and managed to retain the FA Cup
However, fans are dreaming of bigger things, and if Arsenal are wanting to challenge for the league in the coming season, they will certainly need more firepower up front.
