Former Manchester City captain and current Anderlecht boss Vincent Kompany has yet again hailed Pep Guardiola as the best manager in the world.
Pep joined Manchester City after two successful stints with Barcelona in Spain and Bayern Munich in Germany.
However, prior to his success in England, there were still critics out there who questioned his credentials and doubted Pep’s ability to deliver in the Premier League.
After guiding City to two back to back titles with record points tally, Pep has silenced everyone. He has also gained a fan in the process, ie Vincent Kompany.
Kompany is currently managing Anderlecht and has not looked forward as much to managing City.
Asked about the prospect of becoming a future City boss himself, Kompany told Sky Sports: “I am not thinking about that.
“My ambition is right now to be successful with a project and deliver that successfully.
“If I was in a deciding position at City now, I would do everything I can to keep Pep for as long as I can. He is truly the best.
“To say anyone will ever come near, it is speculating in a ludicrous way.”
