Manchester United ace Wayne Rooney is being hunted by two Chinese clubs, who want to lure him away in a big-money move.

Rooney’s future at Old Trafford has been under scrutiny, as he has at times struggled to meet the high expectations of both himself and his manager Jose Mourinho.

He is no longer a guaranteed starter under Mourinho or at international level, and he may decide to seek a new challenge.

One potential destination could be China, with a pair of Chinese Super League clubs chasing his signature.

Guangzhou Evergrande Taobao  and Beijing Guoan both want Rooney to be the next big name to make the jump to the Far East, with both clubs preparing a colossal £700,000 per week deal.

Chelsea star Oscar recently became the latest name to join their growing list of stars with the Brazilian joining Shanghai SIPG in a £52 million deal worth £400,000 a week.

Former Manchester United and City star Carlos Tevez is also on his way to Shanghai Shenhua on a staggering ÂŁ615,000-a-week.

Beijing have tried to sign Rooney before, after talks with his agent last summer. However, they were unsuccessful.
