Fears are mounting that Tottenham Hotspur star Oliver Skipp could be out for the rest of the season, which could spell disaster for their top four hopes
Tottenham Hotspur manager Antonio Conte is concerned about Oliver Skipp’s continued absence, while Ryan Sessegnon has suffered another hamstring injury.
According to reports, the 21-year-old was suffering from a disease known as pubic symphysis, and he now fears it will keep him out for the remainder of the season owing to the nature of recovering from the ailment.
Skipp’s value to Antonio Conte’s Spurs’ engine room has been made abundantly obvious by the club’s results before and after the injury.
Prior to Skipp’s injury, Spurs had only lost one league game under Conte, but three of the following four resulted in losses, draining the club’s momentum for a top-four drive, with Skipp’s injury likely the final nail in the coffin.
Skipp has made 28 appearances in all competitions this season but has yet to score or assist, which is understandable given the nature of his role and the fact that he is not in the best position to do so.
