Everton are in contention to provide 21-year-old winger Ademola Lookman with his first start of the Premier League.
The Toffees are looking to include Lookman in their starting lineup against Newcastle United.
Everton are ready to handle young winger Ademola Lookman with his first start of the season against Newcastle United. The 21-year-old player has made eight appearances as a substitute and has dished out one assist so far this season. The youngster trained with the rest of the squad after he came back from an injury break. He also played for the last 27 minutes in the Merseyside derby, which the Toffees dramatically lost in the last minute of the match.
Manager Marco Silva has also confirmed the fact that the player is in contention to start in the next clash against Newcastle United. He said, “100% Ademola Lookman is in contention to start. I can tell you now the game has passed, he had a small issue and only trained with us on Saturday.”
Everton are playing decently this season under the tutelage of Silva and are currently placed in the seventh position in the league table. They gave Liverpool a run for their money in the last match but a defensive lapse right at the end led to their defeat with Divock Origi scoring the winner in the 96th minute. However, they will look to return to winning ways against the Magpies in their last match to be held at Goodison Park.
