The Blaugrana brought in Jeison Murillo from Valencia on loan to stabilise their defence with the likes of Samuel Umtiti and Thomas Vermaelen falling victim to injuries constantly. Jean-Clair Todibo was also brought in to strengthen the core of the backline from Toulouse.

Transfers summer 2018 window

Barcelona brought in Malcom at the last minute as he was due to sign for AS Roma. After Barcelona submitted multiple rejected bids for Chelsea winger Willian, Barca decided to sign Malcom instead- and rushed in a bid as he was due to depart for Roma.
