Play-maker could leave Arsenal in shock deal
Mesut Ozil’s agent has warned Arsenal over a ‘serious’ bid for the player from Fenerbahce next summer.
Ozil is known to be a very big Fenerbahce fan and has been quoted saying that he would like to join them in the future of his career.
He was quoted as saying in July: “In the future I want to wear a Fenerbahce shirt. It would be an honour. Everyone knows I am a Fenerbahce fan.”
Ozil’s agent seems to believe that the Istanbul club will launch a bid for the German playmaker as early as next summer.
Erkut Sogut told Vatan: “Fenerbahce are serious but it all depends on what answer Arsenal give. It will all become clear at the end of the season.”
Mesut Ozil has been with Arsenal since the summer of 2013 after signing from Real Madrid for a club record fee of £42.5 million. Arsene Wenger has said he has no desire to sell the German.
When Juventus were interested in Ozil during the summer but Wenger said: “Ozil is our player, will remain our player and wants to remain our player.”
