Julen Lopetegui has been appointed as the club’s new manager after Zinedine Zidane decided to leave the club at the end of the season. The Spaniard is keen to bolster the squad for the upcoming season.
The La Liga giants have been heavily linked with moves for Paris Saint-Germain duo Neymar and Kylian Mbappe this summer though the club have distanced themselves from these speculations.
The Brazil International joined the Ligue 1 champions for a world record transfer fee of €222 million last summer and has been impressive for them. But there has been reports that he is not happy with life at Paris and could leave them after just one season.
The speculations further stepped up during the ongoing World Cup in Russia as the Spanish side’s superstar Cristaino Ronaldo has also been linked with a summer exit.
The France International also joined the French side last summer and continued his goof from Monaco. He has been in exceptional form this World Cup and helped his team to qualify for the Quarter-finals, where they will face Uruguay.
Former Spain star Luis Garcia believes the duo could be the perfect fit for the Blancos but is hoping against it as it would make them very strong.
“They could be [a perfect fit]. I hope not because then they will get a lot stronger,” he said Wednesday as quoted by Goal.
“But Real Madrid is always looking for the best players. Neymar has shown how big he is in this World Cup and Mbappe has been amazing for France.
“They could be two big signings for Real Madrid.”
