The Arsenal man is currently suffering from a knee injury

Francis Coquelin is facing three weeks on the sidelines due to a knee injury.

The midfielder has previously suffered with a similar injury in the past, which has caused him to miss a considerable amount of playing time. Last year, the injury forced him out of action for two months.

However, he’ll luckily be back a lot quicker this time around. After being hurt in the Gunners’ game against Chelsea at the weekend, it has been revealed that he will in fact only miss the next three weeks.

Only set to miss two games

Due to one of the weeks being an international break, it means he is only likely to miss Arsenal’s Champions League tie this week and then their away match against Burnley this weekend.

He could then be back in contention for a first-team spot, which is good news for Arsene Wenger. His side have got off to a flying start, with the club currently situated in third place.

They’ll need to keep as many players fit as possible if they want to mount a title challenge, so it’s good news that Coquelin will be back in no time.
