A French journalist has blasted Chelsea forward Loic Remy for joining the club this summer.
Remy has found first-team opportunities at Stamford Bridge limited due to the outstanding form of Diego Costa, although he scored on his debut against Swansea.
And Pierre Menes has been quick to have a pop for Remy making the move, despite the striker scoring in France’s 3-0 win over Armenia in Euro 2016 qualifying.
Menes said:
“Given the game time he is not getting, which will continue to happen at Chelsea I believe it is a pretty bad career choice.
“But that’s another topic. It is clear that he must show something in each of his appearances for France.
“He scored against Spain, he scores again in Armenia, plus a shot against the post.
“It shows that even in a time of very limited play he is still able to bring something to this team.”
