New Real Madrid star Gareth Bale has admitted that meeting Cristiano Ronaldo was a pleasure and the Welshman revealed that the Galactico made him feel very welcome in Spain.

The former-Tottenham star, who cost Madrid over £80million, met up with his new team-mates yesterday and was greeted by Ronaldo in the car-park where they shared a meaty hand-shake (seen in above picture).

The 24-year-old is taking part in his first training session with the side today and he has already admitted that he is feeling ready for the season and is excited to be playing in the Bernabeu.

Bale said: ‘It wasn’t the best to go away on international duty but I’m back now and have had two good sessions. It was amazing to meet Cristiano yesterday he’s a nice guy. He made me feel welcome.

‘I’m feeling good physically. I’m a little bit behind everyone else but I won’t take long to catch up. I have spoken to the boss about how I feel and now we will wait to find out if I am picked for the game.

‘I have spoken to the boss about where I’m best on the pitch but I will play anywhere I’m asked.’
