The French free agent could soon play in Serie A.
Fiorentina are in talks to bring former Bayern Munich and France winger Franck Ribery to the club.
After a successful 12-year period at the Allianz Arena, Ribery was released at the end of his contract earlier this summer.
Despite being linked with a wide range of different moves, it appears that the Frenchman has the opportunity to prolong his European career in Serie A. Per Sky Italia‘s journalist Gianluca Di Marzio, Fiorentina are ready to offer a contract to the veteran as they bid to strengthen their squad ahead of the new campaign.
They have reportedly been in constant contact with the former French international, as the player is open to the idea of joining the Italian side. New developments could come in the following days, so as to understand whether the deal is feasible or not.
The French veteran has requested a deal worth €4 million a year, a proposal that falls inside the Viola’s budget. However, agents’ commissions are proving a stumbling block. The Florence club have pushed Ribery to convince his agents to reduce their demands so to get a deal over the line, since the club is confident that an agreement can be found.
The reports additionally claims that Russian sides Dinamo Moscow and Spartak have also tabled in important offers, and as a result, the ex-Bayern winger will wait few days before making a final decision.
Ribery, who would certainly not be the first football veteran to end his career in Italy, spent more than a decade in Germany, racking up 124 goals in 425 games for the Bundesliga giants, whilst winning nine league titles, six cups and one Champions League.
