Hart set for City exit

Manchester City are close to reaching an agreement to sign Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes in the summer, according to French newspaper L’Equipe. The highly decorated 32-year-old, who has won a string of major honours at Barca, will leave the Catalan club when his contract expires in June.

And it seems as though he is edging closer to the Etihad, where he will link up with international team-mates David Silva, Jesus Navas and Alvaro Negredo.

It was reported earlier this season that he had agreed to join Monaco, although it is claimed he can break that agreement to sign for another club if they pay a compensation fee to the Ligue 1 side.

Joe Hart came under fire earlier in the season but has bounced back well and is now considered one of Manuel Pellegrini’s senior squad members.

But he could be on his way out of the Etihad in the summer – if the Blues sign Valdes
