Inter Milan rule out Torres and Hernandez interest

Inter Milan president Erick Thohir has denied the reports suggesting that he has held talks with Chelsea striker Fernando Torres and Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.

The Italian side are expected to make several marquee signings in the Summer as they look to bring back the glory days to the San Siro, and they have already snapped up United centre-back Nemanja Vidic on a free due to his contract expiring at Old Trafford.

However, reports suggesting that they are talking to the Premier League duo are not true, according to Thohir.

‘At the end of the season we will evaluate everything, both the young players and the more experienced ones,’ Thohir said at a press conference on Monday.

‘We want to build a strong squad for the future with a view not just to next season but to the next three.

‘I think he Hernandez is a good player. But we haven’t spoken to either him or Fernando Torres.’

Both players are expected to leave their clubs in the Summer due to lack of first-team football, but it appears so far a move to Inter is off the cards.
