‘If I can help Falcao reach his level again, I will do it.’

Chelsea manager Jose Mourinho has all-but confirmed that the club are to sign Radamel Falcao from AS Monaco after seemingly let it slip in an interview.

The Colombian international has been strongly linked with a shock return to England after a failed loan spell with Manchester United, but Mourinho believes he can get the striker back to his best and wants to do so.

It’s believed the move to Chelsea will also be a season-long loan with a view to making it permanent next year, but Mourinho has dropped a massive hint that a deal is already done.

Mourinho Drops Hint

Mourinho appeared on South American TV and said this about the out-of-form striker:  ‘If I can help Falcao reach his level again, I will do it.

‘It hurts me that people in England think that the real Falcao is the one we saw at Manchester United.’

Falcao only netted four goals during his time at Old Trafford, but Mourinho still has faith in his ability and wants to work with him at Stamford Bridge.

Chelsea Need Striker

Chelsea only have two strikers at the club now after Didier Drogba left once again after rejecting the chance to extend his one-year deal.

Falcao is currently in South America with Colombia taking part in the Copa America, but a deal is expected to be announced after the competition.
