Jurgen Klopp tipped Mo Salah to just get better

Jurgen Klopp backs Mo Salah to remain at the top of his game.

The 31-year-old winger scored the 43rd European goal of his Liverpool career against Toulouse and is now the all-time leading goalscorer in European competitions for an English club.

The Egyptian international scored his ninth goal of the new campaign and has been in inspired form so far.

Salah was wanted by Saudi Arabian club Al-Ittihad this summer and Liverpool received an offer of £150m for the No.11 in late August.

Manager Jurgen Klopp believes the player’s determination and dedication is one of the key reasons for his success and he will only be appreciated when his career is over.

He said: “Mo doesn’t behave like [he is 31] at all.

“Off the pitch he behaves, he is a grown man, beyond that he is still a young player.

“He is top fit I think if we were to scan him the majority of the bones are aged 19 or 20! He just keeps himself in such good shape.

“He has been the man for us for a long time now. He is such a good player we appreciate him and everyone will appreciate him even more after his career because then you will say: ‘Wow, we saw something really special’.
