Juventus have emerged as favourites to sign out of favour Bayern Munich playmaker Xherdan Shaqiri, from under the noses of Liverpool and Manchester United.
Shaqiri’s representatives have met with the Serie A champions over a proposed £16 million move, according to reports from Italy.
Bayern boss Pep Guardiola has openly stated that the Swiss, who scored a hatrick in the World Cup, isn’t in his plans for this season.
Juve manager Massimo Allegri plans to play Shaqiri as his main playmaker.
Despite this setback, Liverpool and United are set to match any official January bid from the Old Lady.
