Serie A champions want Liverpool contract rebel
Serie A giants Juventus have entered the race to sign Liverpool star Raheem Sterling after being dealt a transfer blow in their pursuit for Chelsea playmaker Oscar.
The Old Lady are in the market for a new midfielder with fears that Paul Pogba will eventually leave the club, and according to reports, Oscar was their number-one Summer target.
However, Jose Mourinho has recently told Juve to forget about signing the Brazilian as he is not for sale.
Despite Sterling not being a centre-midfielder, Juventus are still showing interest in the winger and are ready to pay up to £50million to sign the speedy attacker.
Sterling Interest
Sterling has rejected contract offers from Liverpool and have informed them that he won’t go into any more talks until the end of the season.
However, the England international said that money is not the issue, it’s being at a club that can compete for trophies.
Chelsea, Arsenal and Manchester City are all in the race for Sterling, but Juventus are confident that they could sign the winger with Liverpool desperate not to lose their star asset to a fierce-rival.
