Kallstrom to leave at the end of the season

Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger has confirmed that their loaned midfielder Kim Kallstrom will leave at the end of his deal with the Gunners.

Kallstrom arrived in England on loan from Russian side Spartak Moscow in January and despite making just 4 appearances for the club, one of which being during Arsenal’s 1-0 win over West Brom yesterday, he will return to Moscow at the end of the season.

Wenger was clear on the matter and said: “He is on loan, so he belongs to Moscow and will go back to Moscow.”

Kallstrom has had an odd spell with the North London side as he arrived with an injury which kept him out of some key matches and his only noteable performance was a win over West Ham last month.

The Swede was brought to the Emirates with a back problem, a move that was questioned by many of the home support and with no goals or assists in the league this season, Kallstrom will have wanted to have had an extra season to help the Gunners, but Wenger confirms he will return to Russia this summer.
