Kolo Toure is hoping to end Chelsea unbeaten run in the Premier League when the two sides face eachother at Anfield this weekend.

The Ivorian defender has called for revenge after defeat to Chelsea towards the end of last season, ended the Reds hope of winning the league title.

While calling for payback, Toure is determined to end arguments over whether Jose Mourinho’s men can become the next ‘invincibles’ just like Arsenal in the 2003/04 campaign.

He said: “It is a very important game when you think what they did to us last season,” he said. “That cost us the league and now we have the chance to beat them. I can’t wait for that honestly.

“With the squad they have of course they can go through the season unbeaten, but it’s not only the quality. It is about mentality.

“Every game is challenging and sometimes things don’t go well for you but you need to be able to come back and carry on fighting.

“The season has just started. We will see. It’s a great chance for us [to end the argument]!”
