Daily Mail reporter, Dominic King stated on his twitter page that Leicester City are preparing a bid for AS Monaco midfielder, Youri Tielemans.
The tweet also claimed that the 21-year-old would be worth £20m in the present market and the Foxes have expressed strong interests in securing his services.
Claude Puel already added a rising talent in James Maddison from Norwich City last summer and has made him an integral part of the club. So far the partnership of Maddison and Jamie Vardy has racked up 12 goals in 21 Premier League appearances but there would be no harm in adding Tielemans into the mix.
The Ligue 1 midfielder has stood out in Monaco’s relegation fight this season and looks to be ready for a switch to the English top flight. He made his debut for the Belgian national side when he was only 19 and now has 19 caps to his name.
Tielemans can operate from deep-lying midfield positions to create his team’s attack. With Nampalys Mendy and Onyinye Ndidi handling all the defensive responsibilities from the middle of the park, Tielemans can easily slot into the midfield trio.
The youngster is also skilled at making runs towards the opposition goal line like an experienced box-to-box midfielder, which has seen him rack up 5 goals for Monaco this season. He could be a quality addition into the King Power Stadium to further their chances of finishing closer to the European qualification spots this season.
